Job Description

The Processes and Communications Coordinator
will support the Veterans Law Clinic by analyzing, developing, and overseeing internal systems to allow the Clinic to effectively manage its
numerous workflows related to the legal representation of its veteran clients, outreach programs, fundraising and donor relations, event
support, teaching and curriculum, technology oversight and management, and myriad other Clinic activities to maintain and enhance its
position as the premier veterans legal clinic in the nation. The position will also have an external function that includes marketing and
social media management, online presence, community, veterans, state and federal government, and University research, engagement and
outreach, and donor research and communication. This position will develop strategies and processes that support decision making across the
entire spectrum of Clinic functions and activities.

Processes:

Technology Support


  • Serve as administrator to online case management software and work with
    attorneys and staff to identify and carry out improvements.
  • Troubleshoot online case management issues and coordinate solutions with
    online case management support.
  • Research and recommend upgrades and changes to the online case management system.
  • Test new
    system features and evaluate benefit to Clinic operations.
  • Conduct training for Clinic staff and students on online case management
    system.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute reports that support case management, veteran impact, donor relations and operational
    decision making.
  • Provide technology support for Clinic events including, outreach, symposia, continuing legal education, and
    classroom.
  • Act as liaison to the law school information technology regarding Clinic technology needs system enhancements and
    software upgrades.

Process Enhancements

  • Identify and enhance workflows, templates and automations that can increase
    efficiency of the Veterans clinic’s administrative and legal processes. These responsibilities will include:
  • Support attorneys and
    their representation of veteran clients.
  • Support administrative staff.
  • Support classroom instruction, curriculum and student
    supervision.
  • Support veteran outreach programs and Clinic events.
  • Support fundraising and donor relations.
  • Support
    other activities as determined by Director.

Marketing and Communications:


  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to
    develop storytelling and campaigns that highlight the clinic’s success and veteran impact.
  • Write, edit and publish regular posts
    across social media and Clinic website.
  • Implement multi-platform marketing campaigns to increase campus and community awareness of
    the Veterans Clinic.
  • Manages Clinic social media presence and Veterans Clinic Website and evaluates performance using analytics and
    key performance indicators and provide monthly summaries to clinic leadership.

Outreach and Engagement:

  • Management of
    donor and fundraising programs.
  • Prepare briefing documents for the Director prior to meetings with supporters, alumni, and community
    groups.
  • Maintain donor databases and create donor tiers to track donor relationships and support relationship
    cultivation.
  • Prepare donor communications and contributes to donor engagement efforts under direction of clinic
    leadership.
  • Build relationships with campus and community organizations to identify collaboration opportunities.
  • Prepare
    impact materials such as case highlights, outreach metrics, testimonials, and program updates.
  • Track engagement data, event
    attendance, outreach participation, and partner involvement for reporting.
  • Supports in the organization of outreach events,
    community presentations and donor engagement opportunities as requested by directors, attorneys and clinic staff.
  • Provide support
    to attorneys and staff with responsibilities to external veterans organizations.


Shift

8:30 am – 4:30 pm,
M-F

Minimum Qualifications


A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3
years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred
Qualifications


At least one year working in a veterans law clinic is preferred

Anticipated Hiring
Range


Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000 annually
Grade: GGS – 010
