The Physician Assistant (PA) Program Administrative Coordinator shall provide administrative support to
the faculty and staff of the LMU-Knoxville PA Program. She/he will maintain the departmental office; coordinate program meetings, events,
and travel; and assist the Admissions and Community Relations Coordinator. She/he will provide direct support to the PA Program Director to
include assisting with the programs budget, coordinating program communication with outside professional entities, and participating in
program recruitment functions.
Required Qualifications
*High school diploma; *two years of
office experience; *excellent oral, written, organizational, and computer skills; *experience with Microsoft products (Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
*Two-year degree; *work experience
in an academic setting; *experience with online learning platforms (such as Blackboard).

Job Duties
- promote
the mission of LMU and the PA Program to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large; - promote effective working
relationships among faculty, staff, and students; - comply with faculty/staff policies and procedures;
- attend LMU staff
meetings and serve on committees as assigned; - greet visitors and answer telephone calls and email communications in a friendly,
professional manner and offer assistance; - open and sort mail;
- provide office support (typing, copying, scanning, filing,
etc.; - order and maintain office supplies;
- operate and maintain office equipment;
- assist with budget preparation and
requests and maintenance of budget records; - initiate and maintain PA Program databases with contact information for faculty, staff,
students, alumni, clinical sites/preceptors, supply vendors, and other professional contacts; - facilitate contact between faculty,
staff, and professional contacts; - record and maintain PA Program Faculty/Staff and Faculty Committee meeting minutes and other
meetings as assigned; - coordinate meeting space, housing, meals, and other items required for the annual PA Program Faculty/Staff
Retreat for Accreditation Compliance Review; - work with faculty and staff on an ongoing basis to maintain program compliance with the
Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
(SACS) criteria for accreditation and reaccreditation; - coordinate meeting/event space, meals, and other items required for open
house events for prospective PA Program students and orientation, white coat ceremony, and graduation for matriculated PA Program
students; - process credentialing paperwork for graduating students and alumni;
- assist in coordinating travel arrangements for
PA Program faculty, staff, and invited guests as needed; - assist the Admissions and Community Relations Coordinator with ordering of
promotional materials and organization of special events as needed; - assist in the search process for selecting PA program
staff; - assist in training new staff members;
- provide the Program Director with monthly updates on the status of departmental
issues; - interact directly with executive assistant(s) to LMU president and vice presidents regarding budget, personnel, and other
appropriate issues; - facilitate Information Services support for written examinations;
- proctor written
examinations; - schedule testing space for written examinations;
- ensure accommodation needs are met for students with testing
accommodations; - complete initial screen of student applications for admission;
- assist with student applicant
interviews; - assist with student matriculation and
- perform other duties as assigned.
