Description

Reporting to the Vice Dean, School of Health Sciences (SHS), the Program
Coordinator will support a collaborative initiative between Hofstra University, NYC Public Schools (NYCPS), and Northwell Health to design
and implement a Behavioral and Mental Health Pathway at a specialized high school for health professions. This role is essential to managing
program logistics, facilitating collaboration among faculty and stakeholders, coordinating curriculum development and instructional support,
and ensuring project milestones are met. Please be advised that this position is grant-funded; therefore, continued employment is subject to
the availability of grant funds, with the contract period running from October 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:


  • Supports coordination between university faculty and project leads in the SHS Dean’s
    Office.
  • Assists faculty and partners in aligning high school curriculum with NYS CTE-certified pathways and industry
    standards.
  • Works with instructional technologists to develop an online platform for resource sharing between high school and higher
    education faculty.
  • Coordinates logistics for the creation and implementation of dual credit courses.
  • Supports in identifying
    adjunct teaching opportunities and providing necessary training support for high school teachers.
  • Supports development and
    facilitation of student advising programs, academic tutoring structures, and standardized test preparation efforts.
  • Coordinates
    development and implementation of parent workshops and community engagement initiatives in collaboration with university partners and other
    stakeholders.
  • Assists with planning student internships and clinical experiences in collaboration with project
    faculty.
  • Works with an Evaluation Consultant to help collect and compile evaluation data and progress reports for university and
    NYCPS stakeholders.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in
    Education, Psychology, Health Sciences, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in program coordination,
    preferably in educational or nonprofit settings.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and
    verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with diverse communities and educational
    institutions.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Health Sciences, or
    related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of dual enrollment programs and CTE pathways.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development
    and/or instructional design.
  • Experience with collaborative projects involving K-12, higher education, and industry
    partners.
