Summary
Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks a Project Coordinator to join the President’s Office. The Project
Coordinator will provide administrative support to the President’s Office and project support for the high-level, school-wide strategic
initiatives. In addition, the individual will work under the direction of the Special Assistant to the President & Secretary to the Board of
Trustees to support shorter-term Presidential projects and initiatives, as well as the operations of the School’s Board of Trustees.

Essential
Functions:
Presidential Priorities and Initiatives
-
Provide administrative support for the President’s
Office and college-wide initiatives and projects; organize and provide logistical support for committees and other project-related meetings;
assist in meeting planning, preparation, and facilitation; and generate timelines, dashboards, and visuals for tracking project
items.

Maintain documentation and create digital resources (i.e., related Google Sites)

Assist with
the dissemination of communications to internal and external audiences, the preparation of presentations, the development of surveys, and
data analysis. -
Update the Strategy and Planning web page as needed.

Conduct internet-based information
gathering on an array of topics pertinent to higher education and art and design to better understand trends and issues and to identify
operational models and approaches for consideration. -
Manage student workers as needed.
General
President’s Office Support
-
Provides project coordination and administrative support as the primary logistical liaison for
annual projects (e.g., honorary degree process and presidential holiday cards) and ad-hoc special projects or initiatives directly connected
to the President’s office. -
Assist with the formatting and distribution of communications for the President’s
office. -
Build tools and processes to manage the logistical complexities of planning cyclical and annual meetings and
events
Trustee Office Support
-
Provide planning and logistical support for Board of Trustees meetings,
hosting, and note-taking
-
Provide project coordination and administrative support to the Board of Trustees, including but not
limited to tracking and sending routine correspondence/ communications; maintaining official records and documentation of the Board;
managing the online Board portal; and compiling and distributing meeting materials. -
Provide systems training to
administrative support staff for the Board Committees.

Assist with the formatting and distribution of communications for the
Trustee’s office. -
Update the leadership web page to reflect changes in Board membership.
Required
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience.

Minimum of three years’ experience providing administrative support and/or
project -
planning/coordination.

Proactive, self-starter with ability to anticipate needs and creatively
problem-solve. -
Demonstrated ability to work in and support a diverse and culturally inclusive
environment.

Proficiency with, or aptitude and desire to learn, an array of technology and programs, including Google Suite,
project management tools, Salesforce, and Mailchimp. -
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to quickly and
accurately perform work on multiple simultaneous projects.

Strong interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication
skills with the ability to discreetly handle confidential matters.
