Position Summary

Project manager to support the design and implementation of the Philadelphia
Garden Data Collaborative online platform. The project manager will be responsible for coordinating project meetings, supporting outreach
activities and overseeing the development of the PGDC platform. This is position is for one year and is grant funded.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Coordinate
    project meetings
  • Manage the selection of the contractor and lead platform design and development process
  • Help PIs in
    advising and guiding students
  • Manage project documentation
  • Perform other duties and assist with projects as
    assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Formal Education


  • Undergraduate degree in related
    filed (geography, political science, food studies, environmental studies, computer science)


Work
Experience

  • Minimum of three years related work experience required.
  • Experience in online platform development with
    emphasis on spatial data
  • Experience with collaborative and community-oriented implementation of technical
    tools


Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills)


  • Organized and detail
    oriented
  • Collaborative
  • Able to guide and mentor students


Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge
of principles and procedures related to field and area)

  • – Knowledge of community oriented online platforms and
    tools

Preferred Qualifications



Work Experience

  • Familiarity with diverse mapping
    platforms
  • Experience with platform design and development
  • Familiarity with both ESRI GIS products and other GIS
    software


Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills)


  • Proficiency in database and online
    platform management
  • Proficiency in GIS
  • Basic coding skills


Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge
of principles and procedures related to field and area)

  • Familiarity with Philadelphia gardening community

Salary
Posting Information


This position falls within salaried grade 14 and the range for this position is $57,200-71,500. The
final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate’s qualifications, department budget
availability, market data, and internal equity.
