Caldwell University invites applications for a part-time Campus Shuttle Van Operator. Reporting to the Director of Campus Safety and
Security, the Campus Shuttle Van Operator provides safe transportation to students, staff, and faculty. Job duties include, but are not
limited to:
- During an assigned shift, driving a University van on designated routes picking up and dropping off passengers as
scheduled. - Assisting individuals with physical disabilities with boarding and exiting the van. Assisting passengers with seating
and securing individuals in safety belts prior to operating the van. - Conducting and recording daily pre-trip checks on van and van
components, including inspecting tires, lights, fuel level, oil level, and windshield wipers. - Reporting any defective
equipment immediately. - Completing daily operations report (times, mileage, routes, etc.)
- Completing incident reports as
necessary. - Cleaning interior and exterior of van.
- Communicating and Assisting the Director of Campus Safety and Security
as needed.
High School diploma or General Equivalency diploma (GED) required. Requires a clear and valid New Jersey State
Driver’s License. The shift for the Campus Shuttle Van operator position is Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 11pm, when the
university is open.
