Position Highlights
The Arizona Student Unions Dining Services Department is looking to hire a Registered Dietitian (Nutritionist II) to join our team. This position is responsible for providing nutrition expertise for the department, communicating the nutrition philosophy for Dining Services, providing nutrition education to staff, resident students, and student groups. The Registered Dietitian provides support for all food production facilities to ensure the daily recipe output is accurate and in agreement with nutrition labeling and oversees the implementation and upkeep of comprehensive nutritional analysis of Dining Services’ menus and recipes.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as primary administrator and analyst for nutrition software in dining systems programs.
- Provides nutrition education and dietary advice to resident students.
- Assists Culinary Analyst recipe input to food service program to generate nutrition information but also food costs and ingredients for dining units as needed.
- Offers nutrition expertise for the department, communicates nutritional philosophy for Dining Services and provides nutritional education to staff, resident students, and student groups.
- Audits dining locations for accuracy of recipes, allergen preparedness, and allergen kit availability.
- Serves as preceptor for dietetic intern program working in conjunction with faculty.
- Executes existing and creates new nutrition educational programming to meet campus trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge and proficiency in nutrition database system.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food allergies and other dietary restrictions requiring accommodation.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to transport/move a maximum of 20 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Dietitian (RD or RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nutrition or a related field.
- Food service experience.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
