Physical Requirements
This position will be working with large animals and will need to lift or pull objects possibly in excess of 50 lbs and will also be working in outdoor weather conditions year round, including summer and winter.
Shift
Monday-Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; and some weekends and holidays.
Job Summary
The Department of Veterinary Science in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking a Research Farm Technician II for its Maine Chance Farm. This position will help care for horses, which includes animals on research projects as well as perform routine farm duties such as pasture management, vehicle maintenance, etc.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?: No
Preferred Education/Experience
Experience working on a farm and with horses is preferred.
Driver’s license preferred.
