Summary
The Senior Administrative Program
Coordinator in the Department of Surgery is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the medical students. The Senior
Administrative Program Coordinator plans, organizes and manages the curriculum program for all third and fourth year medical students in the
School of Medicine. The Senior Administrative Program Coordinator also works with first and second year medical students who wish to
clinically observe surgical services. The incumbent will assure compliance with program requirements established by designated Departments,
the Medical Student Course Director, and the LCME.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong
organizational skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal and written and
verbal communication skills - Strong exercise of professional judgment and the ability to work
independently - Ability to use general office equipment
Required Education and/or
Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years experience in administrative positions
with significant responsibility and autonomy, to include experience with Microsoft Office
Preferred
Qualifications:
- More than three years experience in administrative positions with significant responsibility and
autonomy - Business courses or Associates degree
- Previous experience with medical
education
Compensation Information
This position is classified as “non-exempt, hourly” and is assigned to pay grade 24.
