Summary of Job Duties:
A Skilled Trades Helper will assist skilled tradesmen in all areas of the physical facilities of the campus. A Skilled Trades Helper may assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, grounds care, and mechanical systems. A Skilled Trades Helper will participate in training and demonstrate a willingness to learn a craft.



Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in the various trade areas
  • Skilled in the use of operation and care of tools and machinery
  • Ability to learn to perform manual labor under varying working conditions
  • Ability to understand and follow oral instructions

    Performs other duties as assigned.
