Specialty Media Coordinator

Job Summary

This position maintains and troubleshoots video, audio,
lighting, multimedia, and computer equipment; provides technical video, audio-visual and multi-media support for a variety of classes,
classrooms, meetings, and events; and assists with the scheduling, distribution and maintenance of equipment inventory in the Telecomm Lab
and Department of Communication.



Project Coordinators
Provide support to project management function, regardless
of discipline (e.g., Construction, Engineering, Operations, Technical). Review project proposals, ensure projects adhere to contract
language, and issue and track project amendment documentation. Perform technical support including project scheduling and planning, earned
value management, budget review/cost analysis, and change of scope impact analysis. Communicate any issues, problems, or additional
information to project managers and project stakeholders and recommend solutions. Monitor and evaluate project timeline and activity and
report on progress to project managers and leadership.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions


  • Maintain and
    troubleshoot computer, video, audio, multimedia and lighting equipment for the Telecomm Lab and Department of Communication facilities.
  • Determine appropriate equipment use and facilitate equipment check out and return on a daily basis.
  • Maintain equipment
    tracking/reservation database records and overall portable equipment inventory.
  • Assist students, faculty and staff in creating and
    editing videos, recording video and audio, and troubleshooting basic computer and audio/visual problems.
  • Provide support in setting
    up classrooms, conference rooms, offices, and other Department facilities.
  • Coordinate with other departmental supervisors and
    technicians for equipment repair and event planning.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and human relation skills.
  • Content creation for department projects, i.e. digital signage, posters, etc.
  • Other duties and projects as
    assigned.

managers and leadership. Requires basic skill set and proficiency. Conducts work assignments as directed. Closely supervised with little
latitude for independent judgment.Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or
equivalency) degree.

Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be
substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Project Coordinator, I: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s
(or equivalency) degree.



Preferences
Working knowledge of video and audio production preferred; experience with computers,
computer software, and file management; experience working with video and audio equipment including video cameras, video switchers, audio
recorders, audio consoles and related equipment; ability to troubleshoot and maintain video and audio equipment, working knowledge of
setup/tear down, operation, and transportation of equipment.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Encore,
AFTER EFFECTS etc.) or other multimedia software is important in completing job responsibilities.
The individual must
have an effective communication skills, demonstrated human relations skills, and be able to assist students, staff and faculty with a
variety of needs.


Computer skills, video acquisition, video production, video editing, audio-visual technical aptitude, knowledge of
media-production, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are preferred.
