Responsibility / Duty
The Student Union Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations
and event management of the Donald G. Bollinger Memorial Student Union, Century Club Room, The Brew and Faculty/Staff Lounge in Ellender
Library. Works in tandem with the Executive Director of Student Union and Event Planner to manage event planning, campus reservations,
set-up logistics, audio/video and catering requests. Collaborates with service providers to ensure client needs are met during events within
the Student Union, assigned University space and outdoor areas pertaining to Auxiliary Events. Coordinates with NSU departmental staff to
develop events and logistics to support University, Student Affairs, and off-campus sponsored events.

Responsibility / Duty
Supervises full-time classified custodial staff and the part-time
student staff for the Student Union to deliver a high level of customer service Oversees custodial staff and student employees working event
and room set-ups, event logistics, and events with an emphasis on student learning, Prepares and posts work schedules to ensure adequate
staffing for building events. Works directly with the other Student Union employees to ensure excellent customer service in a safe, friendly
environment within the Student Union. Recruits and selects student employees as needed. Oversees the operation of the Student Union in the
and overall use of facilities that include programming spaces, ballroom events and conference rooms. May require working evenings and
weekends to support events.

Responsibility / Duty
Supervises
equipment inventory and monitors security. Works with food service contractor to coordinate food for event and arranges equipment/room
set-ups as well as cleaning schedules. Capable of using the lighting and audio-visual equipment needed to support events in the Student
Union and Century Room. Participates in professional organizations that promote new trends and best practices. Manages the repair,
replacement, and preventative maintenance of Student Union equipment and building assets. Responsible for reporting maintenance and grounds
needs. Conducts daily building checks for building cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and lighting needs.

Responsibility / Duty
Responsible for safety, security, crowd control and emergency
response of Student Union. Accountable for operating a shelter for students, faculty, and staff as mandated by the University. Communicates
Student Union and campus policies to customers and guests. Develops policies for the Student Union emergency response
system.

Responsibility / Duty
This position reports to the
Executive Director of Auxiliary Services. When necessary, represents the Executive Director of Auxiliary Services at meetings and events.
Assist with any other duties that may be assigned as needed.

Minimum
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years experience in management.
A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for years experience
in management.
