Substitute Dentist

BridgeValley is seeking a skilled and flexible Substitute Dentist to join our practice for day shifts, ranging from 6 to 8 hours. This
role requires providing high-quality dental care on an as-needed basis, with a schedule that includes no nights or weekends. Ideal
candidates should have a current dental license, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to varying patient needs and practice
environments. Actual pay will be commensurate with education and experience.

Examples of Duties:

• Clinical Oversight: Supervise and guide dental hygiene students during clinical procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices and
  high standards of care.
• Education and Mentorship: Teach and support students in their clinical skills development, offering
  constructive feedback and facilitating learning opportunities.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and review student performance and
  patient outcomes to ensure compliance with clinic protocols and quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff,
  and students to promote a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Professional Development: Stay current with
  advancements in dental practices and integrate new techniques into the clinic’s protocols as appropriate.
• Radiographic
  Duties: Read, interpret, grade, and assist students with landmark and pathology identification.
• Examination Duties: Provide
  comprehensive dental examinations, pathology consults, and referrals as indicated.
• Administrative Duties: Monitor student progress
  and maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or
  Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
• Current state dental license and certification in good
  standing.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of contemporary dental practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal
  skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and instruct students.
