Dragon Corps applications are being accepted for the following positions until
March 15, 2026. Each position is a two-year appointment, with the exception of the Financial Assistant, which is a one-year
appointment.
- Assistant to/for University of the Community Programs – Office of Community Affairs &
Government Relations. This position will support the Office of Community Affairs & Government Relations and ‘University of the
Community’ pillar by assisting with the coordination of community partnerships, place-based projects, innovation initiatives, and
entrepreneurship programs, that connect the campus and our students with local opportunities. This entry-level position plays a vital role
in preparing materials and organizing public workshops, supporting the start-up challenge, providing perspective as a young adult, and
fostering relationships with community stakeholders, alumni, and industry partners. As part of Red Dragon Corp, this position offers
professional development, mentoring from campus leaders, and support for career progression. In this position you will gain hands-on
experience in developing programming, stakeholder communication, and community engagement while building a professional network across
campus and beyond.
- Community Standards Program Assistant (Assistant Hearing Officer) – Office of
Community Standards. This position serves as an integral member of the Office of Community Standards by assisting with the
administration of the student conduct process, including service as an Assistant Hearing Officer. The role helps uphold the Student Code of
Conduct while promoting student accountability, personal growth, and a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
- Special Projects Assistant – Office of Research, Grants and Contracts. This position supports special
projects and strategic initiatives within the Office of Research, Grants and Contracts, with primary responsibilities centered on advancing
the “Strategic Grants Agenda,” a pilot initiative designed to secure external funding for large, innovative, and high-priority projects.
This work helps advance research, scholarship, and creative activity; foster innovation and entrepreneurship; and contribute to the economic
and cultural growth of the Greater Oneonta region.
- Financial Assistant – Office of Academic
Affairs. This position provides support to the Academic Affairs division through financial and administrative management.
Responsibilities include budget monitoring, managing faculty compensation processes, assisting with grant-related financial support, and
collaborating with various departments including but not limited to HR, Payroll, Budget, and Procurement to ensure efficient resource
management.
- Programming and Alumni Engagement Specialist – Office of Alumni Engagement &
Off-Campus and Commuter Student Services. In this unique position, you will work within two separate departments as a key asset to
both, supporting programs and initiatives that strengthen student engagement, belonging, and long-term connection to SUNY Oneonta. This role
combines programming, collaboration, and community-building efforts across the student lifecycle, from commuter and off-campus engagement to
alumni preparation and early alumni involvement.- In the Office of Alumni, you will help facilitate the transition of current
students into engaged alumni by coordinating major campus traditions such as Pass Through the Pillars, Founders’ Week activities, Class
Council events, and the 9/11 Ceremony. You will support early alumni engagement through advising the Oneonta Future Alumni Network (OFAN),
co-advising the Class Council, and promoting student involvement, philanthropy, and volunteer opportunities. This role also assists with
outreach and communication to recent alumni and contributes to initiatives that build long-term pride and connection to SUNY Oneonta. - In the office of Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Student Services, you will contribute to the success and well-being of
off-campus and commuter students by assisting with the development, coordination, and assessment of programs that promote academic success,
personal development, equity, and holistic wellness. You will support initiatives that enhance belonging and engagement among students who
live off campus or commute, help create community-focused programming, and collaborate with campus partners to strengthen the overall
experience of this diverse student population.
- In the Office of Alumni, you will help facilitate the transition of current
Salary: $51.261. SUNY Oneonta is a Public Service
