Technical Assistant – Media Services


Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology or designee, the
Technical Assistant for Media Services provides support for multimedia operations at both the main and West Essex campuses.

$32,500 – $36,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package, which

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist
in the setup and operation of projectors, audio systems, video conferencing tools, and other audiovisual devices during events and
presentations.



2. Offer technical assistance to users during events, meetings, and presentations, ensuring
smooth operation of multimedia equipment.


3. Identify and resolve issues with audiovisual equipment, perform
regular maintenance, and ensure all systems operate effectively.



4. Provide guidance to users on the operation
of multimedia equipment.


5. Oversee the check-out and return of equipment, ensuring all items are in optimal
working condition and properly accounted for.



6. Assist in the setup, operation, and dismantling of equipment
for events, ensuring all technical needs are met.


7. Uphold confidentiality and security regarding student
and staff records.



8. Prepare routine, special, and ancillary reports as required.


9. Perform other related duties as required.


Minimum Experience:
1.
High School diploma or equivalent.


2. Demonstrated knowledge of operating and troubleshooting multimedia
equipment; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; and knowledge of media software and tools.



3. Ability to
diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently


4. Good organizational skills to manage equipment inventory
and support multiple tasks simultaneously.



5. Demonstrated capability to engage professionally and effectively
with students, staff, and non-staff members of the college community.


6. Excellent interpersonal
skills.



7. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.


8. Ability
to work in a multi-cultural environment.
