Summary of Position
The mission of
Information Technology Services is to maintain reliable and secure technology infrastructure in order to provide support for diverse
learning platforms through knowledgeable support and industry standard technology in accordance with CCCS policy guidelines and RRCC mission
statement.
This position exists to bridge tier level I and tier level II technical support to all facets of desktop and cloud-based
information technology system’s needs. Primary duties and responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring service desk, work order
tickets, review and respond to tickets escalated from help desk tier I level support, serve as the Team Lead for the tier 1 service desk,
assisting with the installation and maintenance of RRCC computers (including mobile devices and printers), Audio/Visual equipment, and asset
management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing user support for hardware, software, and network issues,
assisting with Office 365 and remote troubleshooting, and escalating tickets as necessary. The role also includes overseeing Tier I support,
managing staff schedules, and triaging tickets. Additional duties include assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
of computers, mobile devices, and printers, managing IT asset inventories, and collaborating with other departments on surplus equipment.
The position also requires mentoring student employees, participating in meetings and committees, and supporting the overall IT needs of the
institution.
Work is generally performed in a standard office environment. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to
6:00 pm. May require hours outside of regular office hours. May require work at both campuses. May require travel between
campuses.

strong aptitude for customer service, critical thinking, and problem-solving. - Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal
supervision, while applying effective leadership skills to guide and support others

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or progress toward completion of an associate’s degree
- A minimum of two years of
experience in the Information Technology field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer
science or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Physical & Cognitive Demands

the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.
- Occasionally moves, positions, and transport standard
office supplies and IT equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. - This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office
environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc. - The person
in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information
in these situations. - Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing,
negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary
Starting salary range for
this position is $59,659 to $65,625 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This
position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
