Job Summary/Objective

This position is an entry-level position in the Information Technology Department. It serves as the first point of contact for technical issues on campus. The position is primarily responsible for addressing technical issues across campus.

Essential Functions

  • Utilize internal ticketing system to prioritize tasks in a timely manner and act as the first point of contact for hands-on assistance including hardware, software and other IT related issues.
  • Perform new device setup and configuration by deploying windows OS images, applications, drivers, and system settings to meet organizational requirements.
  • Extend technical support through various channels such as phone, in person, or remote connection, while upholding effective communication to resolve technical issues and ensuring employee concerns are addressed.
  • Ensure proper installation of office and classroom IT equipment. (Windows laptops and desktop computers, projectors, printers, TV, battery backups, power-cables, and phones)
  • Responsible for troubleshooting Windows OS issues in relation to group policy (printer management), Domain Trust Relationship, and windows updates.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

The work environment is typically an office setting. Often, equipment must be relocated around campus to different offices, buildings, or campuses.



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work



This is a full-time, exempt position. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; occasional weekend or night work may be required.



Travel

No travel is expected

Required Qualifications


  • High school Diploma
  • Driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent
  • A+ Certification

Physical Demands


  • The position may require extensive walking
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit and use a computer for long periods.
