SUMMARY
The Technology Support Specialist works with students to assist with printing needs and other technical support that may include access to Office 365, Self-Service, the College’s LMS, and proctored testing. The Technology Support Specialist is able to triage student needs and escalate to other departments when necessary. The position reports to the Director of Library Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Utilize remote access to the Library’s resources and PaperCut printing
- Communicate with students via phone, email, or in-person to determine the origin and nature of technical issues
- Guide users through the steps to resolve in-the-moment issues
- Escalate more complex situations to the Department of Information Technology
- Use Administrative level permissions to access student accounts in Colleague and Office 365 to reset passwords when necessary
- Provide end-user support for Office 365, Self-Service, and the College’s LMS
- Document core technical issues for follow up and reporting
- Assist with meeting and instructional room technology
- Assist with Makerspace technology
- Assist with testing station setup
- Provide proctoring support as needed

Education and Experience. Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skill and abilities.
Requirements:
Required: A certificate from an institutional accrediting agency in Information Technology or a related field.
Experience:
Preferred: Experience providing technology and technical support in a college setting.
