Job Description
Under the
supervision of the Associate University Architect, analyze, develop, and coordinate the University’s comprehensive campus plans and facility
planning efforts to optimize and enhance the efficient use of campus spaces. Support the creation of a physical environment that advances
the institution’s academic, research, and outreach missions. Facilitate collaboration among diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support the establishment and maintenance of campus architecture and development,
including design guidelines, interior standards, land use planning, and regulatory compliance to align with organizational goals. Assist in
engineering-related aspects of the campus, focusing on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, and structural considerations to promote
sustainability and integrity. - Facilitates strategic initiatives for long-term campus development, considering future growth, trends,
and the surrounding community. Contribute to major projects, including visioning, feasibility studies, planning, and project
establishment. - Contribute to compliance efforts for state regulations and reporting requirements, staying informed of legislative
changes and their impact on campus plans. Aid in real estate transactions and acquisitions to align with campus needs. Coordinate with the
legal team to ensure regulatory compliance in real estate activities. - Assist in the implementation of a University Space Management
& Utilization Program to promote efficient space use in alignment with the University’s goals and regulatory requirements. - Ensure
strategies and governance structures are in place for campus facilities and plans to adhere to ADA guidelines. Help manage relevant aspects
of the university’s sustainability plan. - Performs other duties as assigned.
