BASIC PURPOSE
Position will be based at the Pottstown campus.
*This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations. Location will mainly be at the Pottstown campus.
**This position requires the new hire to submit the child abuse clearance, the PA State Police check, and FBI fingerprint results to Human Resources prior to their first day of employment.

The Youth Engagement Program Manager at Montgomery County Community College is responsible for overseeing, developing, and facilitating a range of youth-focused programs aimed at enhancing education, community engagement, and overall youth development. This role involves coordinating with various internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure the success and impact of youth engagement initiatives at the College.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead planning, development, and implementation of middle school immersive learning initiatives (Discovery Programs), focusing on curriculum development aligned with current state standards, and integration of technology tools.
- Manage Discovery Program logistics, collaborate with educators and industry professionals, and work cooperatively with the Challenger Learning Center to support Challenger Missions.
- Lead Montco360 Initiative, fostering partnerships and collaboration, evaluating program effectiveness, and strategizing program expansion and development aligned with the College’s strategic plan.
- Collaborate with Dual Enrollment to create an educational pathway connecting Montco360 with dual enrollment opportunities, aiming to maintain student success and engagement over several years.
- Provide oversight and administration for Science on a Sphere technology, including faculty and staff training and collaboration with IT for functionality and maintenance.
- Manage all aspects of internal Montco Summer Camp logistics, including coordination between internal departments (Sports, Arts, Challenger/STEM, Culinary, etc.), and assist in marketing efforts to promote camps, ensuring centralized information and registration processes.
- Manage budgets associated with youth engagement initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across all programs and work with the Grants and Finance Office to maintain accurate grant records and compliance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of youth programming initiatives through data collection, analysis, and reporting, using metrics to assess program impact and make data-driven decisions. Provide regular reports on program effectiveness and impact to stakeholders and leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
EDUCATION/TRAINING/WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, Human Services, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Two years of experience in classroom and/or informal educational settings using computer-assisted instruction.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Knowledge of PA early learning, Common Core, NGSS, and higher education standards.
- Proven experience with program and curriculum development.
- Experience with budget management as well as grants management and oversight.
- Excellent administrative, oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Communicate effectively with children and adults.
- Work in multicultural settings.
- Lead in-person and virtual programs with strong presentation and communication skills.
- Adapt during program delivery to satisfy real-time scenarios.
- Troubleshoot and learn new technology.
- Handle multiple tasks.
- Work independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Internet, email, database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation experience.
- Amenable to flexible schedule; ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and some MCCC administrative holidays.
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required.
