We are looking for a Fine Art Lecturer, with subject specific skills and research in sculpture, to teach Fine Art practice students on BA(Hons) Fine Art programme, within the Department of Art & Performance.

BA (Hons) Fine Art is a studio-based programme that provides students with the platform to confidently enter the professional world of the artist and arts professional. Students will actively investigate the breadth of approaches and practices in contemporary fine art. The programme is taught by professional artists that are actively engaged in contemporary practice and research. The diversity of approach and investigation creates a distinctive group of staff and students that engage with and question a divergent range of approaches to studio practice and externally engaged projects. Fine Art is the by far the largest curriculum offer within The Department of Art and Performance at Manchester School of Art. The department also consists of Art History, Curating, Performance and Acting areas as well as a large Ofsted outstanding Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. Fine Art at Manchester has recorded high level national league table positions and along with Design features in the QS World Ranking tables.

We are looking for a 0.5 FTE Lecturer, with specialist expertise in Sculpture, to teach into our BA Fine Art programme. As a practicing artist you will have substantial experience and knowledge of the field of Fine Art, its breadth and scope and a track-record of delivering teaching to practice-based students within a studio environment. An ability to bring your specialist experience to BA students from a diverse range of backgrounds is essential. BA Fine Art is a large programme and you will be joining a dynamic, externally facing Department of Art & Performance that places high importance in collegiate and cross-cutting work.
