We are appointing to a range of vacant academic positions to deliver our newly validated and fully integrated portfolio of seven undergraduate: and nine postgraduate taught programmes. The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences seeks to develop its world-leading profile of by the appointment of leading academics across the core disciplines of Sport and Exercise Sciences. The school has a national and international reputation for world-leading provision of nutrition and exercise physiology education and training across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The school recognises the increasing importance of nutrition and exercise physiology specifically in relation to curriculum content, research and applied practice. You will make broad contributions to the academic work of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences within the discipline of nutrition and exercise physiology.
The school requires you to contribute to the cardiovascular exercise physiology curriculum and take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of teaching programmes/modules in relevant undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials and seminars, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student dissertations and applied placements / practice and provide personal tutoring.
The school also requires you to engage in research and scholarly activity in their area of expertise to extend the school’s high quality research outputs and impact within nutrition and/or exercise physiology. You will work collaboratively with academics across the world-leading Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences, including, the Cardiovascular Health Sciences and/or Exercise Metabolism and Adaptation groups.
You will contribute to broader School strategic agendas, including recruitment and outreach activity, and fulfil any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed necessary by the Director of School or Line Manager.
