The post holder is part of a busy Medical Student Support and Records team within UCL Medical School’s MBBS Management team. The team works collaboratively with the Undergraduate (UG) Medicine Admissions and Deputy Admissions Tutors, the Divisional and Deputy Divisional Tutors, and the Lead for Electives in the provision of academic administration and student services to ensure that prospective UCL and visiting medical students have a rewarding, safe and successful time with high quality admissions, education and training.

The post holder will support the UG Medicine Admissions and Deputy Admissions Tutors in the management of Medical School selection admission processes, including organising interview circuits, offer holder events and taking part in Open Days. They will liaise with UCL’s central UG Medicine Admissions team to ensure seamless admissions processes from interview to offer.  Additionally, the post holder will support the Lead for Electives and will manage the Medical School’s Visiting Electives Scheme for medical students from around the world to study at UCL Medical School and our associated NHS Trusts.

The successful candidate will have experience in a professional services role that carries responsibility, preferably in a medical school or other academic environment and will demonstrate organisational skills including the ability to identify service requirements and design administrative systems appropriate to a student-centred learning environment.  The successful candidate will need to be pro-active, innovative and problem-solving with the ability to take responsibility and initiative to work flexibly under pressure and to deadlines. A high level competence and confidence in using e-systems and data management systems is essential.
