Engineering & Technology - UK Jobs

About the Role

The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London is looking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to support an EPSRC-funded project led by Dr Khalid Rajab.

The role is to develop a contactless health monitoring sensor system, which will be deployed at our partner’s facilities, to monitor and predict wellbeing trends of residents in their homes. Data analytics, using machine learning techniques, of sensor data is a critical component of this task. This is in support of virtual ward initiatives, which aim to get people out of hospitals, and back into their homes earlier, through remote monitoring of their health.

About You

You should have a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related field or equivalent experience. You will have substantial knowledge of data analytics using machine learning, preferably applied to healthcare informatics. Experience with sensor firmware development, cross-platform software development tools (e.g. Flutter) and sensor-Cloud integration tools (e.g. MySQL, IoT Core) is desirable.
