Job Description:

PSL Business School – Moorgate campus – May 2022

The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world’s largest law schools. With an impressive history dating back to 1876, we employ over 900 staff and have over 14,000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with an alumni network in excess of 100,000. We were the first-ever independent institution to be granted degree awarding powers and in 2012 we gained university title. With a rich heritage and a reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices, we continuously focus on developing the best legal and business minds. In 2016, we opened our leading Business School, further enhancing our reputation as a full service legal, business and educational training specialist, operating from campuses throughout the UK, Berlin and Hong Kong and an Online campus.

What really sets us apart from other universities is the guiding principle that future business leaders should learn in a realistic, professional and contemporary context, with plenty of practical interactive engagement. That’s why we keep our contact hours high and our teaching groups small.

You will be responsible for the quality of the delivery of the assigned suite of ULBS (University of Law Business School) programmes delivered at the designated campus. This will include liaising with the Business School Director and the designated Campus Dean to assure the highest level of quality and student experience, as well as support the recruitment and admissions activities. Responsible for all aspects of the delivery of the student experience and the enhancement of student performance across the ULBS programmes delivered in the designated campus and to ensure that effective communication takes place between ULBS and campus teams. Act as the liaison PSL for other campuses when required. Assisting the Academic Managers in identifying, recruiting and onboarding the lecturers in the programme.

When assigned, be in charge of the academic leadership of a programme or suite of programmes, supporting the Programme Directors in the design and approval processes, and supervising as a subject expert the quality of the materials produced. Initially, the role holder is expected to be in charge of leading the MSc in Project Manategement, as well as others.

You will also devote a part of your time to other academic activities, particularly teaching, marking, modules moderation, dissertations supervision or pastoral care, online or offline. An specialisation in Project Management is expected from the successful candidate.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Andres Perez on 01483 216851 or email

No agencies please.

Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check – you will be notified of this during the application process.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University – which does not reflect our diverse student body – we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
