The Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and the Humanities at the University of Cambridge invites applications for a Research Project Administrator.

The Research Administrator will initially be working in the research team of 3 ERC-funded projects, “The Global as Artefact”, “Qualitative and Quantitative Social Science: Unifying the Logic of Causal Inference?” and “A New Noah’s Ark: Securing the Transfer of Ancestral Agricultural Knowledges Across Europe’s Changing Regions of Environmental Suitability” as well as the Mellon Founded project “Religious Diversity and the Secular University”. As the projects come to an end there will be the opportunity to move on to pre-award work as well as looking after the Fellowship programme and new grants.

Key activities associated with the role include: 

 – Co-ordinate and oversee administration of the project

 – Develop and monitor project database and the website by the uploading of recordings, text data and images

 – Co-ordinate and organise project related activities and events

 – Assist with production of reports

 – Carry out project financial administration

 – Undertake publicity activities linked to the project

 – Carry out some HR administration.

Applicants must have:

 – Experience in an ERC administrative role

 – Experienced user of Microsoft Office

 – Knowledge of the University Financial Systems

 – Excellent planning & organisational skills

 – Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

 – Demonstrate factual & theoretical knowledge of ERC Project Administration/Coordination

 – Educated to HND, HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualification or academic degree relevant to the project.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 June 2023 in the first instance.
