This role is within the Educational Excellence Support team, part of Governance and Assurance within the Registrars. This is a small team who are key to supporting the University in its Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) aims and activities and specifically in supporting areas of the Education and Student Experience Strategic Delivery Plan (ESE SDP). The team’s focus is on maintaining and enhancing academic standards across the University of Nottingham and supporting the enhancement agenda by driving modernisation and innovation in teaching and learning. You will work closely with colleagues in Professional Services and Faculties across the University in the UK, Malaysia and China.
Central to the role is supporting the Associate Director Education Excellence Support, the Head of Professional and Work-based learning and colleagues in Faculties and Schools in their preparations for an Ofsted inspection and beyond; including the drafting of the Institutional Self-Assessment report and the Quality Improvement Plan. As such you will be a confident communicator at all levels and able to manage your own workload.
As part of the Education Excellence Support team you will be involved in other Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement activity; including our periodic reviews, our work to support the Access and Participation Plan and other work associated with the OfS, QAA and our own ESE SDP.
You will have direct line management responsibility for the Enhancement Manager and the Education Excellence Support Manager.
Being able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in the Higher Education sector and of matters relating to academic quality and standards; and knowledge and experience of working with Ofsted and the Education Inspection Handbook will be hugely beneficial.
The post is offered on a permanent, full-time (36.25 hours per week) contract. Arrangements for job share would be considered.
