Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to work, right in the heart of the UK’s second city. We have an exciting role positioned in our Student Recruitment team. We are looking for an ambitious individual to help tell Birmingham City University’s exciting story of transformation to a range of prospective student audiences and influencers. This role will suit someone with experience in student recruitment work, having excellent relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
You will work in a team set up to deliver a recruitment strategy that aims to build great relationships with schools and colleges, developing existing partnerships and forge new links across the region and beyond, and that feeds into the strategic objectives of the wider Marketing and Communications Department and University.
Helping to develop and deliver a compelling programme of subject level engagement with recruitment audiences, you will also work with academics and key contacts to ensure talks and events are exciting, purposeful and innovative.
We want talented and enthusiastic applicants with experience of recruitment and events, familiar with providing guidance to young people about higher education, and extremely comfortable with public speaking. You will be a big part of ensuring we deliver great events, on and off campus, such as Open Days, Applicant Taster Days and Explore Days, masterclasses and recruitment fairs across the country.
Key requirements of the role:
- Honours Degree or equivalent
- Experience with delivering or supporting events management
- Experience of internal and external relationship management skills
- Experience of working with young people and/or in education related organisations
- Significant experience of public speaking
- Experience of delivering formal presentations, workshops and seminars
