The University of Nottingham are seeking to appoint a passionate and inspirational person into the new role of Sport, Health and Wellbeing Activator and Fitness Instructor.
The post holder will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and delivering of a range of inclusive health & fitness-based activities targeting students within the Halls of residences as part of the Sport Health and Well-being Package, aimed at improving the student experience of first year students living in university accommodation.
The post holder will also work as part of a team, to provide a high quality, friendly, and professional service to the department’s customers within the University’s fitness facilities. This fitness instructor role will include new member inductions, writing fitness programmes, delivering fitness classes, giving help and guidance to members, walking the gym floor engaging and interacting with members.
Successful candidates will hold a NVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in gym/fitness instructing and have knowledge and understanding of the important aspects of first year students residential experience in student accommodation.
All candidates will need to be flexible in their approach to their working week, noting that evening and weekend work will be required regularly to deliver successfully in the role.
