Are you ready to help take UWE Bristol Sport’s marketing and communication strategy to the next level? If you’re ambitious, creative and up for a challenge then read on to find out if you could be the next Sport Marketing Officer.

You’ll be working across the marketing and communication function, from social media and events, to copy-writing, campaign planning and more.

With various tools and through appropriate channels, the focus will be on developing and implementing campaigns to ensure that UWE Bristol Sport continues to grow its membership base as well as using your creativity to explore new commercial opportunities. You’ll also be working closely with the Sports Experience Team to create engaging content that helps widen participation in student-focused physical activity and wellbeing programmes such as MOVE.

With the Sport Marketing Assistant, you’ll help to shape the marketing plan to ensure that business as usual combines with innovative campaigns and content delivery across the different areas of the sport pathway at UWE Bristol.

UWE Bristol Sport aims to provide every student with the opportunity to play sport or take part in healthy activity. Alongside this we strive to drive success through our Performance Sport Programme and encourage staff and the wider community to access facilities and participate in sporting opportunities.

About you:

You can demonstrate experience working in marketing or communications, either in an in-house or in an agency setting.  You’ll be a bit of an all-rounder by demonstrating your experience across the marketing spectrum including copywriting, events, campaign-planning and web.

You’re organised and you can deal with a number of projects and tasks running concurrently at any one time; you’re a team player and you collaborate with UWE Bristol Sport colleagues as well as build relationships with external departments such as the Students’ Union and Strategic Communications and Marketing to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

This role is campus based with the opportunity for remote working

The University’s normal practice is that new appointments will be made at the starting point of the grade.

We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role under the Home Office Skilled Worker visa route. Candidates must be able to provide their own right to work in the UK.
