Liverpool John Moores is named in the top 10 best universities in the world for Sports-Related subjects and is recognised globally as a world leading sport and exercise science department. We are appointing to a range of vacant academic positions to deliver our newly validated and fully integrated portfolio of seven undergraduate: and nine postgraduate taught programmes. We seek to further develop our world-leading profile, maintain delivery of a first-class educational experience; and further commit to our transnational education agenda, by the appointment of leading academics across the core disciplines of Sport and Exercise Sciences.
You will contribute to the academic work of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences in the area of Psychology of Football and within the discipline of Sport Psychology. The school expects you to contribute to the Psychology curriculum within the undergraduate Science and Football and Sport Psychology programmes and take responsibility for the taught delivery of relevant lectures, workshops, tutorials and seminars, supervision of student dissertations and applied placements, and support personal tutoring.
The school also expects you to engage in research and scholarly activity in their area of expertise, contribute to scholarship, research and knowledge exchange activities as required to update knowledge and understanding in the field of Sport Psychology and translate knowledge of advances in the subject area into their teaching.
You will also be expected to contribute to broader school strategic agendas, including recruitment and outreach activity, and fulfil any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed necessary by the Director of School or Line Manager.
