Duties of the Role
In the role of Lead Tennis Delivery Officer, you will be responsible for two strands of tennis delivery: (1) plan, develop and deliver a year-round tennis recreational offer to students, staff and the wider community, supporting the LTA’s mission to provide ‘tennis for all’ (2) lead on the coaching and development of the women’s and men’s tennis focus sport programme. The Team Leader will deputise for the Duty Manager when required, including on a regular basis on weekend shifts.
Skills and qualifications required
You will have the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Level 2 qualification or equivalent, with ambition to work towards their Level 3. It is essential that you have coaching/assisting experience within a tennis club environment, together with an understanding of the principles of sports development, and coaching styles and practical delivery methods.
You will have the ability to motivate and inspire others and must have good communication skills both verbally and written and the ability to engage and build strong, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You must fulfil the requirements of an Enhanced DBS check and have the willingness to work irregular and unsocial hours as required outside normal office hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
